Renewable Energy Market Expert
The power to transform your energy market communications strategy
If there is one market I know, it’s the energy market – I’ve been in it since 1996. Over the years I have covered the more traditional sectors such as oil, gas, and nuclear, but my passion and my specialism has always firmly been with green energy, climate change, and environmental issues.
As well as understanding the complexities of energy and environmental policy, my knowledge of the technologies and ability to write about technical issues is strong.
Be it onshore wind power, offshore wind, solar PV, tidal energy, wave power, geothermal energy, biomass or hybrid power solutions – I have written about them all and I can help you get your content strategy pitch perfect for your target audience.
Below, you can take a look at just some of the work I have done for the Netherlands Enterprise Agency’s Dutch Offshore Wind Programme, energy consultancy Phoventus, Haymarket Media’s Windpower Intelligence/ENDS Intelligence division, and Elsevier’s Renewable Energy Focus.
I have also recently been working with the Netherlands Wind Energy Association on the website content, press material, and marketing content for the launch of the wind & water works campaign, a multi-stakeholder initiative to promote the Dutch offshore wind industry to new international markets. Another offshore wind client is Sideshore Technology, a Dutch company which specialises in offshore wind farm optimisation using a specially developed software that has the potential to save project developers and owners millions of Euros. I edited all the content for the company’s new website and conducted a thorough website review for them – I can tell you, this company is going to make a significant impact.
This by no means covers it, but it gives you a good flavour of my skills. Take a look at my LinkedIn profile for more information or just get in touch with me directly and find out more.
I look forward to hearing from you and seeing how I can help transform your energy market communications for the good.

Communications for Dutch offshore wind programme
I have been providing full editorial and communication services for the Netherlands Enterprise Agency’s Offshore Wind Team since 2015, securing successive contracts. I am delighted to have won another tender in 2021 – securing a four-year contract for English language editorial services for the Dutch offshore wind programme, running from January 2022 through to end 2025.
I have either written or edited all the key documents for the Dutch offshore wind tenders under the country’s two offshore wind roadmaps, with Hollandse Kust (west) being the latest tender we are working on under the 2030 roadmap. In addition, I wrote the content for the magazine, Hollandse Kust – where wind & water works, which is part of the Wind & Water Works campaign.
Furthermore, in 2020, along with associated documents, I edited the English language version of the North Sea Energy Outlook for the period 2030-2050, which was produced by DNV GL on behalf of the Dutch Government and presented to the Dutch Parliament in December 2020. The Outlook establishes framework conditions for future growth of offshore wind energy to 2050.
I have also provided my services for general marketing communications for the Offshore Wind Team, including press releases, website copy, speeches, and powerpoint presentations.

Daily news and Special industry market reports
Having worked on the wind industry’s leading magazine, Windpower Monthly, for just over eight years earlier in my career (I was News Editor then Senior Editor), I have found myself working for its publishers since. Recently (as of November 2021), I have helped out with both writing and editing, providing daily news and longer articles for the website along with general copy editing of technical articles. In addition, I have stepped in as Acting News Editor of the daily website on several occasions.

One of my key strengths is data analysis and market research. From late 2014 to end 2016, I was asked to write some of the special industry market reports produced by Windpower Intelligence/ENDS Intelligence and be the Commissioning Editor of the rest.

Managing Editor for Renewable Energy Focus
Having been a long-time contributor to Renewable Energy Focus, I was later Managing Editor of the magazine and website from May 2012 to September 2013. Following that I was its Commissioning Editor, Consultant Editor and Renewables Analyst.
In my editor roles, I was responsible for building up brand profile, with a key focus on web and social media networks by enhancing the quality of its daily web news/features/blog/e-news content. This was in addition to producing the bimonthly magazine (editorial planning, commissioning of articles from freelancers and industry players, news and feature writing, copy editing, layout and overseeing final production).
I also hosted a live webinar on energy from waste, which involved liaising with the client, devising key criteria to be covered, structuring the programme flow and content as well as presenting the live interactive event itself.

Powering the Future – Sunday Times SUpplement
Published on 30 June 2015 in The Times and Sunday Times, this supplement by Raconteur takes a look at uncertainty over the UK energy mix, solving the country’s energy “trilemma”, decarbonisation, new energy storage technologies, disruptive energy innovations, and the future of wind, solar, nuclear, hydro and tidal energy.
I was commissioned to write two of the articles:
You can read the complete supplement here.
With Gail on board during the wind & water works project, we invented a new word that should definitely be added to the dictionary: Gailification.
“Gailification: the art to transform a couple of non-consistent bullet points or remarks about an energy-related topic into a concise, informative, and fit-for-purpose text”.
Obviously the person mastering the skills of gailification to an optimum is Gail Rajgor herself! She is not only very accurate and swift when it comes to editing and copy writing, but also contributed to our project massively with tonnes of experience and knowledge about the energy sector.
This resulted in a number of very attractive showcases and texts on the wind & water works website, aimed at supporting Dutch offshore wind companies achieve their international ambitions, and invaluable support in our promotional campaigns to enhance engagement of Partners and enhance website traffic.
I would certainly advise anyone facing editorial or communication challenges in their business to go for a touch of Gailification to make their project a success!
Gail knows the energy and renewable industry very well and is capable of getting our message out in a professional manner.
Gail is always dedicated to getting the assignment done quickly and to our satisfaction.
She is an absolute pleasure to work with, and we will continue to use her services.
I am happy to recommend Gail (Editorial Rescue) if you are looking for punch jobs covering your marketing communication strategies, social media strategies, web design, and professional photography. All jobs, small or big, will be addressed with the highest business ethic standards, professionalism and always with a smile.
Gail is well versed in turning impenetrable copy into readily understandable and enjoyable prose. She is skilled at re-writing and editing to tight deadlines, with an ability to quickly assess large volumes of words, identify what is important and edit out what is not.
Gail’s nose for news is well developed and she is persistent in her pursuit of unexplored angles. Her online research capabilities are excellent.
Gail is an excellent manager of people and work flow processes. She is always ready and willing to learn and expand her knowledge and enjoys taking on new challenges. Her workload capacity is large and she possesses the organisational skills and self-discipline required to successfully manage complex processes and meet tough deadlines.
Above all, she is a great team player, well liked and well respected by her colleagues and a good team motivator as a result.
Think GSR …
If you are working towards a Green, Sustainable, and Renewable energy fuelled future make Gail Shameza Rajgor part of your communications team.
